Series and special event schedule changes
Among recent schedule and purse changes for Dirt Late Model-style sanctioned and special events:
Blue Ridge: Lancaster (S.C.) Motor Speedway's Phillip Knight Memorial was expanded to a two-day Cagle Automotive Blue Ridge Outlaw Late Models event paying $5,509-to-win (up from $3,500). The event is set for July 31-Aug. 1.
Red Clay: June 2's rained out Red Clay Series event at Laurens County Speedway in Laurens, S.C., was rescheduled for July 31.
Thunderbird: The makeup of the Forever 66 at Thunderbird Speedway in Muskogee, Okla., has been split into two $5,066-to-win events on July 31 and Aug. 1. The event is co-sanctioned by the Comp Cams Super Dirt Series, Ross Foundation Sooner Late Model Series and Nutrien Ag Solutions Revival Super Dirt Series.
OVS: The Burlile Ohio Valley Late Model Dirt Series has added a $2,000-to-win event at Portsmouth (Ohio) Raceway Park.
Heartland: The Heartland Late Model Tour added a $3,000-to-win event for July 31 at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kan.
Elkins: July 25’s Bobby Hart Classic at Elkins Speedway in Kerens, W.Va., was rained out and rescheduled for Aug. 22.
Premier: July 29’s Karl Chevrolet Premier Late Model Tour event at Dubuque (Iowa) Speedway got a purse boost to $3,000-to-win (up from $1,500).
Revival: The Nutrien Ag Solutions Revival Super Dirt Series cancelled Aug. 1’s date at Caney Valley Speedway in Caney, Kan.
UCRA: July 18’s postponed United Championship Racing Alliance event at Wartburg (Tenn.) was rescheduled for July 25.
