Southern Thunder sets loyalty program
The second-year Southern Thunder Super Dirt Series today announced a five-figure bump in the series points fund along with the institution of a driver loyalty program paying the tour’s top five drivers $250 for every series event.
The Minon Construction Loyalty Program also provides two free pit passes to loyalty members in a benefits program funded by the series.
“We want to build something that is best for racers and also builds up a sustainable series for the tracks and fans,” series owner Travis Scott said, adding the program represents “another step toward giving back to the teams and drivers who support the series.”
The series points fund has been increased by more than $10,000 with $15,000 for the champion (up from $12,000 in the tour’s inaugural season), $8,000 to the runner-up ($6,000), $6,000 for third ($4,000), $4,000 for fourth ($2,000) and $3,000 for fifth ($1,500).
