Modoc (S.C.) Raceway’s July 16 Schaeffer's Southern Nationals event will memorialize longtime regional racer and team owner Ken Knight, track owner Ronnie Powell announced.

The Ken Knight Memorial, with the blessing of his family, honors the racer who competed at Modoc, I-20 Speedway, Laurens County Speedway and other tracks before fielding the No. 42 Dirt Late Model for son Cla Knight for more than 15 years. He died June 8, 2024, at the age of 66.

The 42-lap feature will pay $7,542-to-win with details to be announced.
