MLRA's Bullring debut delayed
Midwest LateModel Racing Association’s Friday event at Brownstown (Ill.) Bullring was cancelled as the track completes repairs of the backstretch wall.
Heavy rain in early March collapsed the wall, cancelling all March events at the quarter-mile oval. The track is tentatively set to return to action April 3 with a program that includes non-touring DIRTcar-sanctioned Super Late Models.
Brownstown’s first-ever MLRA event is now scheduled for July 31 during a doubleheader weekend, a race followed by an Aug. 1 event at I-55 Federated Raceway Park in Pevely, Mo., which hasn’t hosted the series since 1991. Both races pay $5,000-to-win.
